Mina El Tule, Melchor Múzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico

The pairing of light purple cubes of Fluorite on colorless spears of Celestine is the identifier for specimens from Mina El Tule in Coahuila. Here the Fluorite appears as roughly cubic shapes with accessory cube faces that result in overall shapes both simple in theory and complex in execution. Their forms are pristine both in perfection and color and the luster quite fine. The Fluorite largely covers virtually all of one side of a glassy Celestine crystal with "saw-tooth" edges. There are signs of attachment at the base of the 'spear' and a few nicks to the edges of the Celestine, but the overall effect of the piece is quite aesthetic and very distinctive. At almost 6 inches in length, the specimen is larger than most examples from El Tule.
    Overall measurements: 5.75 x 3 x 1.25 inches (14.6 x 7.6 x 3.2 cm).

Provenance: Keith Proctor [Hoppel # D1603]

In my estimation Taylor exemplified professionalism and in that respect clearly added value to Heritage Auctions as their representative.
