This is a large, translucent plate of yellow Fluorite from the Okorusu Mine in Namibia, a mine known for its purple, blue, and green Fluorite. This specimen is from a relatively recent pocket that turned out crystals in various shades of cream to yellow, and there were very few specimens available. The plate consists of dozens of lustrous, interlocking, 1 to 2.5 cm crystals with sharp edges and glassy faces. Most of the crystals are transparent at their outer portions and translucent at their interiors. Many of the crystals exhibit a very thin blue rim on the cubes at their extremity. The crystals are in good condition, with a few showing minor edgewear and a few nicked corners. The back of the piece is sawn to improve presentation. This represents an older find, which is now seldom seen for sale.
