Large and dramatic Elmwood specimen of Fluorite with Sphalerite showcasing a massive single Fluorite cube with stepped growth faces and clear "Carthage" corners. The sharp 14.8 centimeters size Fluorite crystal is highly translucent, having an overall light lavender color due to the outer thin purple layer. The associated resinous Sphalerite, with its reddish-brown flashes, provides the perfect contrasting backdrop to frame this statement making specimen recovered in the late 70's to early 80's from the #57-70 area and held in the mine foreman's office until 2012 when Dan acquired it. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.

More Information: The piece is in excellent condition with some minor bruising to the edges of the Fluorite and contacting to the Sphalerite and the back. The underside of the specimen has been trimmed flat.
