This stunning (and large!) single crystal of Elbaite is richly colored, with a punchy gradient of pink, to yellow, then to an intense sea-green at the very tip: a classic color scheme of the Aricanga Mine of the famous Brazilian pegmatite fields. The crystal, with its sharp pyramidal termination, has an intricate, subtle etching pattern, and some lovely striations down the prism. There is even an accenting side car to the side of the specimen. When viewing the origin point of the crystals, one will see the classic "watermelon" zoning, with pink in the center and green in the surrounding edges. As to be expected with this kind of material, there is one repair. This lot comes with a custom engraved acrylic base.
