As Datolite specimens go, this is an absolutely huge example of the Borosilicate mineral. The stout group features six or more glassy crystals of a pale green hue, one doubly-terminated, that measures 4 inches (10 cm) in length with several over 2 inches (5 cm). One displays an odd "notch" in its termination, and there are only a few miniscule nicks. Besides the Datolite, there is a small dusting of Apophyllite on several of the crystal faces.
Offered at no reserve.
Provenance: Western Minerals [Hoppel #D0466]
[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
