Cerussite pseudomorph after Anglesite with Goethite

This specimen is quite unusual, consisting of Cerussite pseudomorphs after Anglesite coated with a thin layer of Goethite. The Goethite coating is black with a matte luster, highlighting the angular, sharp shapes of the Anglesite crystal habit, which ranges from clusters of small crystals to larger crystals up to 2.3 centimeters in length. Though the Cerussite is almost entirely covered by Goethite, there are a few small areas where the Goethite is absent and the white Cerussite crystals are visible, giving an interesting view of the components that make up this piece. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
