Elmwood mine, Carthage
Central Tennessee Ba-F-Pb-Zn District
This is an extremely gemmy golden-yellow colored honey zoned specimen. A two-toned "Honey Calcite" crystal is perched prominently atop other massive and well-formed crystals. The main focal point of this is a doubly-terminated crystal featuring the classic color and form for this locality. Without a doubt, this is an unusually complex "stacked" piece for the size and species. It is an ideal large cabinet specimen. The back exhibits a minimal matrix of burnt reddish Sphalerite and other minerals typical for the locality.
