This visually appealing specimen of Calcite features Hematite dispersed evenly inside the crystals giving the piece a pleasing pink hue. The overall example is a mix of sharp gray, scalenohedral Quartz crystals surrounding two main "towers" of pink Calcites. The Calcite crystals have an interesting habit as they have grown on top of one another. The hexagonal discs anchor the specimen and create balance as well as drama. This is one highly aesthetic specimen out of the Daye iron mine in China. The bottom has been cut flat to facilitate secure installation without the need of a base.
