This is an interesting and unusual deviation from the more typical rhombohedral crystals one would expect from Tsumeb Calcites. With only the smallest patch of matrix on the underside, this piece is primarily composed of flattened, stepped rhombohedral Calcite crystals that have a bright luster, weave in every direction, and measure up to 7.0 centimeters across. Each crystal is translucent and colorless with distinct, rust-red Hematite phantoms that outline half of the crystals' periphery.
