This impressive cabinet specimen has a splendid arrangement of thick, spear-like Baryte crystals, each exhibiting a modified tabular habit with crisp beveling and sharply defined edges. The largest crystals reach up to 7.3 centimeters in length and are strikingly transparent with a warm golden-brown interior, accented with translucent, grey zoning that outlines about half of the Baryte. One side of several major crystals is adorned with dense clusters of smaller Baryte blades, giving an extra three-dimensionality to the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base. Please note, the locality listed on the base likely refers to a place near Qiaojia County within Yunnan Province, which lies just south of Sichuan Province.
