Zeolites from India are a popular and common mineral variety, but green Apophyllite, especially when it occurs as Fluorapophyllite, provides some of the most attractive examples. This serious specimen offers clusters of larger and well-formed crystals on a sparse, earthy matrix. The various sized forms are a bold bluish-green hue and cover the majority of the desert-like rocky surface. The color of the fluorine-heavy pseudocubic crystals is quite captivating. Although Fluorapophyllite is the most common of the varieties in the Apophyllite group, there is nothing common about this superlative piece worthy of a display case.
