This is an astonishing example of Aegerine. What makes it so impressive is its sheer size and quality. In addition, it comes from a top locality out of Malawi. This huge specimen exhibits diverging crystal sprays of jet-black Aegerine on a contrasting creamy well-formed Feldspar crystals. The Aegerine crystals are well-formed and exhibit superb luster, form and sharpness. The approximately 100 Aegerine crystals also exhibit nice terminations. There are also many well-formed and glassy Quartz crystals to highlight just how dark the Aegerine crystals truly are. This is a superb sculptural piece with incredible display quality. Mount Malosa is considered the top locality for this variety, and it is easy to see why collectors covet this material, especially in such an appealing association as this beautiful display specimen.
