A phenomenal example of NWA 8666, this also happens to be the MAIN MASS of the LL(L)3 primitive chondrite. Representing chondrules that date back billions of years, not to mention being simply and truly beautiful, this specimen weighing a stout 217 grams is very impressive. Its unusual classification results from the material being on the cusp of both the LL and L types. This excellent collection piece with the rare classification status is as scientifically important as it is simply interesting and gorgeous.
