A recent find, dating to 2024, this Stony meteorite slab represents NWA 16811. Weighing 49 grams, this material is classified as a Carbonaceous Chondrite, CVox3. This variety is important, providing insights into the early solar system and could offer clues to the origins of life on Earth. The polished display surface is replete with an abundance of chondrules of various sizes, shapes, and colors. An unusual "checkmark" shape adds further intrigue to this irregular slice, which is rather complicated and oddly reflective. With a finer-grained matrix, the larger clasts contrast sharply with the surface.
