Rock solid and extremely aesthetically pleasing, this end cut of NWA 14663 represents the Main Mass of the meteorite variety. Weighing just shy of 400 grams, this is a sizable offering with both superlative attributes and considerable size. An expansive cut and polished 'window' surface is clearly the focal point of this rock from space and displays a mixture of gorgeous clasts of varied shapes and sizes in contrast to a subtly sublime, dark fusion-crust "skin" with a slight texture and multiple tiny holes. The substantial L3 is glorious and has an additional cut and polished section into the exterior, which allows the extraterrestrial visitor to sit securely without need of any base. The consignor purchased this piece in Niger in 2021, the year it fell, from a local dealer there. As NWA 14663 only has a total known weight of 436 grams, the piece is a majority of that meteorite.
