    The Norton County Meteorite fell in Kansas in 1948. Another witnessed fall, this variety is classified as an Aubrite consisting of igneous material indicative of an asteroid origin. The entstatite achondrite has Total Known Weight of 1.1 tons. This specimen weighing 97.3 grams is a relatively large example of the meteorite and offers a museum provenance as this rock is accompanied by a label from the Institute of Meteoritics at the University of New Mexico where it was cataloged as number N-132. This very sizable chunk is "rough and rugged" with an aggregate appearance as well as various patches of disparate rock. The unusual granular offering is delicate and exhibits hues of white, gray, brown and black in various tones.
    Overall Measurements: 2.25 x 1.67 x 1.52 inches (5.72 x 4.25 x 3.85 cm), weighs 97.3 grams
