Unknown Chondrites can be just that, but that does not mean such specimens are not interesting and valuable. This massive example, with incredible visual aesthetics, was found in 2004. Weighing a stout 12.6 kilograms (27.8 pounds), the piece is definitely museum sized. The robust and sculptural offering exhibits superb fusion crust with typical superficial craquelure. Rich hues of black, brown, and even red are visible throughout the exterior of this beautiful and large specimen. The unique and somewhat wedge shape conjures up similarities to a vertebrate from some giant creature like a dinosaur. Highly impactful, the textural representation of the non-metallic stony meteorite stands in a wonderful unmodified manner.
Measurements: 10.00 x 9.49 x 5.98 inches (25.40 x 24.10 x 15.20 cm), weighs 12.6 kilograms (27.8 pounds)
