The Allende Meteorite was a witnessed fall in 1969 and is classified as a CV3 Carbonaceous Chondrite. Notably, it is the largest specimen of its kind ever discovered on Earth and contains rare CAIs (Calcium Aluminum Inclusions), which are among the OLDEST materials in our solar system. This fantastic slice weighs 5.36 grams and is packed with multihued chondrules throughout. This is one great example of what is believed to be the most studied meteorite of all time.
