    Description

    Seymchan Meteorite Slice
    Pallasite, PMG
    Magadanskaya Oblast, Russia - (62° 54'N, 152° 26'E)
    Found: June 1967

This slice of Seymchan Meteorite is thin and exhibits an odd shape with a pronounced notch at the top of the piece. The offering is quite translucent with numerous yellowish-green crystals of Olivine, which are nearly transparent. The specimen weighs 117 grams and seems delicate but is a bit heartier than is obvious. The surfaces of this representation feature Thomson structures, amid the crystalline material, and the inherent contrasts of the colorful crystals against the metallic body is sublime, to say the least.
    Overall Measurements: 6.69 x 3.74 x 0.08 inches (17.00 x 9.50 x 0.20 cm), weighs 117.27 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
