    Description

    Sericho Meteorite Slice
    Pallasite
    Kenya - (1°5'41.16"N, 39°6'8.30"E)
    Found: 2016

Superlative, gorgeous and incredible actually all accurately describe this phenomenal slice of Sericho Meteorite from Kenya. Found in 2016, this could be considered a relatively "new" meteorite that has been popular with collectors since it first hit the market. This large slab weighing 417 grams has been expertly prepared to showcase the numerous Olivine crystals of which many are translucent. The thin aspect of the slice required substantial attention to detail, but the slab is still thick enough to have the necessary strength to be somewhat durable. Smooth and sealed on both sides, the primary face offers supreme beauty of gemmy gold crystals against a mirror reflective background of metallic composition. The reverse exhibits only slight imperfections. The visual appeal of this quality offering is clear. This specimen comes with a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to the qualities of this fine meteorite.
    Overall Measurements: 8.46 x 8.46 x 0.12 inches (21.50 x 21.50 x 0.30 cm), weighs 417 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
