Found by famed meteorite hunter Mike Miller, friend of Geoff Notkin, and frequent hunting companion, this complete slice of the Glorieta Mountain Pallasite weighs 59.4 grams. This sculptural slab offers the wonderful duality of etched metallic sections featuring the Widmanstätten pattern as well as gemstone patches with beautiful olivine (peridot) crystals of golden-yellow greenish coloration. Several of the big crystals are translucent given the thinness of the slice and fire amazingly in vibrant colors when backlit. Glorieta Mountain is a collector's meteorite, and this slab represents the best qualities of that pallasite.
