    Brahin Meteorite Block
    Pallasite, PMG
    Gomel', Belarus - (52° 30'N, 30° 20'E)
    Found: 1810

This geometric meteoritic offering consists of a block of Brahin Meteorite that has been fashioned into a tall 'monolith' with four essentially rectangular sides as well as a square top and bottom. A triangle divot revealing part of the rough interior appears near the top and impacts two of the sides and the top. Most of the specimen is polished, and coated as well, on the finished example. The piece is replete on all sides with numerous Olivine crystals embedded in its metallic form. One edge has a noticeable notch where a crystal likely popped out, and a similar occurrence is visible on one of the rectangular surfaces. This very interesting and hearty representation weighs over 500 grams. The solid block stands securely on its own.
    Overall Measurements: 3.53 x 1.51 x 1.36 inches (8.96 x 3.84 x 3.46 cm), weighs 507.3 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
