    Admire Meteorite Slice
    Pallasite, PMG
    Kansas, USA - (38° 42'N, 96° 6'W)
    Found: 1881

Considered one of the top varieties of the Pallasite group, Admire is a collector's dream in terms of this type of meteorite. The bonus feature of this stabilized specimen is the two-tone aspect of its crystallization as a massive intrusion of concentrated dark golden-brown Olivine dominates the otherwise balanced blend of metal and crystal. Both sides of this slice weighing a whopping 541 grams are dramatic, and impactful. The irregular shape is rather artistic, and the slick, thin free-form has one small notch near the periphery that has been smoothed by its coating. The example exhibits partial translucency with select crystals, in the dark section as well, firing up in the light with a glorious golden-yellow. The Kansas native is something special known well to collectors. This slice, with a big size and odd duality, is a unique offering.
    Overall Measurements: 9.65 x 7.09 x 0.26 inches (24.50 x 18.00 x 0.65 cm), weighs 540.81 grams

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
