Admire Meteorite End Cut
    PMG - Pallasite
    Lyon County, Kansas

Pallasites are a variety of stony-iron Meteorites, and some examples contain gemmy crystals of Olivine which add an incredible dimension to the otherwise rocky metallic specimens. Crystals cover this piece of the Admire Meteorite which is considered by many to be the most appealing of all the Pallasites and has the added benefit of being an end cut piece with both a polished face and a rough, rugged exterior. The end cut weighs 6.9 lbs. (3.1 kg) and measures approximately 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) across. Significant size is definitely one characteristic of this truly outstanding specimen, and the slick "windowed" surface exhibits complete coverage of Olivine crystals of all sizes which stand out in glowing contrast against the silvery mirror finish of the metallic material encasing them. This piece is simply beautiful and truly a best of both worlds proposition with an elegance finished side and a naturally rough organic exterior backing. This represents a serious example of a superlative Pallasite which is significant for its size and aesthetics. Admire was found in 1881 in Lyon County, Kansas and is highly prized for both its stability and durability.
    Overall Measurements: 9.33 x 6.30 x 2.36 inches (23.70 x 16.00 x 6.00 cm), weighs 3.11 kg (6.85 lbs.)
