A relatively thin example, this specimen of Moldavite still weighs a substantial 9.2 grams. The size, in terms of weight alone, defines this as a premium offering, and the complex texture of the classic green piece creates an outstanding representation. Out of an exclusive private collection, this is an exceptional tektite with obvious characteristics of natural glass. The origin of Moldavite dates to 15 million years ago and is associated with the meteorite impact crater at Nordlinger Ries in Germany.
