This certainly is a rather small slice weighing slightly less than 10 grams, but the representation of NWA 16136 is a Martian Meteorite of the shergottite variety. The granular and tonal offering boasts a diabasic texture and a particularly unique, unusual, and a number of appealing "bluish" crystals that really give this piece an added dimension of visual appeal. This irregular little slab is relatively thick and has a complex look and feel to its highly patterned surfaces. Of course, this is a piece of the Red Planet which makes it inherently rare and supremely collectible. Light and dark gray tones cover the rocky faces of the piece, which measures nearly 2 inches (5 cm) on its fullest diagonal. This is an atypical meteorite, even for a Martian, and this piece found in Morocco in 2023 is special.
Measurements: 1.71 x 1.25 x 0.15 inches (4.34 x 3.17 x 0.37 cm), weighs 9.6 grams
