Discovered in Mali in 2017, NWA 11788 is one iconic variety of lunar meteorite. This exquisite fragment weighing 45 grams really looks the part, with a dark black core coloration, light reddish highlights, and a rugged shape complete with complex texture. For a smaller example that has not been cut, this is ideally suited for any collection in need of an individual lunar meteorite. There is not much else to say about an intriguing piece of the Moon such as this offering which rests securely on its less craggy non-display side. While many feldspathic breccias are cut and polished, this evidences the more natural form of such rock.
Measurements: 1.64 x 1.52 x 1.25 inches (4.16 x 3.86 x 3.17 cm), weighs 44.7 grams
