This rare complete slice of a lunar meteorite was found in the Dhofar Desert region of Oman by noted meteorite hunter Michael Farmer in 2008 making it the 57th distinct lunar meteorite to be classified as such. The presence of white anorthostic was indicative this was a lunar specimen, and those are easily seen on this breccia specimen. Based on the size of the main mass recovered, this example will be one of the two largest slices ever in existence of this particular meteorite. This slice weighs some 11 grams and has an exquisite primary face full of composition and character. The backside is similar, but has less shine. This fine lunar example is Shisr 160.
