This attractive 3.08-gram slice of lunar meteorite Ajdabiya 001 displays a striking brecciated texture, with angular light-colored clasts suspended in a dark, glassy matrix. Measuring over 1.5 inches (4 cm) across, the specimen offers an expansive surface area for its weight, showcasing a high-shine polish on the primary display face. The unpolished reverse provides a raw look at the meteorite's granular structure and contrast in lithologies. Classified as a feldspathic breccia, such material is believed to have originated from the Lunar Highlands. This striking specimen from the Moon is an excellent opportunity to own something that is truly out-of-this-world.
