This Nantan meteorite is supremely massive, weighing a whopping 42.27 kilograms (93 lbs)! The robust and stout example from the fall in China dating back to the year 1516 produced an unbelievable 9,500 kilograms (20,900 lbs) of material. It is no surprise the Nantan is so dense, and heavy, given it has some 93 percent iron and 7 percent nickel for its composition. This colossal specimen comes with a solid metal display base custom made to cradle the specimen atop a singular band of silvery metal. This monster is orangey-brown and blackish in coloration and has an organic shape. The giant meteorite looks a bit like a huge coprolite from some dinosaur - which is ironic - since a meteorite likely caused their extinction.
Overall Measurements: 17.00 x 10.00 x 6.00 inches (43.18 x 25.40 x 15.24 cm), weighs 42.27 kilograms (93 pounds)
