Description
Muonionalusta Meteorite WristwatchIron, IVA
Norrbottens, Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E)
Found: 1906
Wristwatches are timeless accessories, and this offering is no different. This amazing timepiece features a metallic cut slice of the Muonionalusta Meteorite as the watch dial. This incredible meteorite has been cut, polished, and etched to highlight the aesthetic Widmanstätten pattern only found deep within certain Iron meteorites. This slice has been Rhodium-plated for stability and is encased behind colorless crystal. To attest to the meteorite's authenticity, the words "Meteorite," "Sweden," and "1906" are inscribed on the face and on the back of the case. This stunning wristwatch not only displays the time but also includes a perpetual calendar with apertures showcasing the weekday, month, and sub-dial of moon phases at the 6 o'clock position. The date is indicated with a crescent-tipped blued hand pointing at a "1 through 31" scale printed around the dial. Time is kept by a mix of Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock and stick indicator markers by luminous skeletonized pyramid hour hand, a sword minutes hand, and a sweeping second hand. The round stainless steel case measures 39.5 mm (1.55 inches) and features stainless steel lugs and crown. The movement is Japan Miyota multi-function Quartz 6P80 and is water-resistant to 30 meters (3ATM). The strap is a genuine black leather band with a stainless steel tang and buckle. The watch comes in a custom box for storage. This timepiece has incredible features and will always be... timeless.
Overall Measurements: 9.45 x 1.70 x 0.59 inches (24.00 x 4.33 x 1.50 cm)
