    Description

    Muonionalusta Meteorite Pocket Watch
Muonionalusta - Iron fine octahedrite - (IVA)
    Northern Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E)

Pocket watches were common up until World War I. However, these timepieces are still in fashion today. This pocket watch features a dial made of genuine Muonionalusta Meteorite, which exhibits the famous Widmanstätten crisscross pattern. The meteorite has been Rhodium plated to prevent rusting of this Iron octrahedrite meteorite. The dial features black Roman numerals with black hour and minute hands. The meteorite is housed in a gold case also featuring Roman numerals. This pocket watch has an "Open Face" movement as the stem is placed at the 12:00 position and uses stem-wind. The inner workings of the watch are visible from both the front and back. The fastener is attached to a gold chain connected to the stem. This timepiece is in excellent condition and comes with a label attesting to its authenticity.
