Muonionalusta Meteorite Octahedron
Northern Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E)
This truly phenomenal, geometric representation of material from
the Muonionalusta Meteorite from Sweden is something to behold with
an intriguing shape that defines the specimen. Featuring a muted
yet still shiny surface, it exhibits full coverage of the
Widmanstätten pattern, the result of the two Nickel-Iron alloys of
Iron Meteorites: Kamacite and Taenite. This most unusual
presentation is clearly spectacular in form but also presents the
qualities of Muonionalusta with elegance and charm. This singular
example weighs a hefty 567 grams and shows only minor
inconsistencies over its many faces.
Overall Measurements: 1.95 x 1.94 x 1.94 inches (4.95 x 4.94 x
4.92 cm), weighs 567 grams
