    Muonionalusta Meteorite End Cut
    Iron, IVA
    Northern Sweden - (67° 48'N, 23° 6'E)
    Found: 1906

This majestic offering consists of a rather large end cut of the Muonionalusta Meteorite from Sweden, generally considered to be THE oldest meteorite on the Earth. This wonderful example offers a superb duality, with a cut and polished primary surface, which has been superbly etched, revealing an intense Widmanstätten pattern so diagnostic of the Iron meteorite variety. Its domed exterior in stark contrast features a rich and dark brownish coloration with a 'burned' skin-like texture. The arctic meteorite, first discovered in 1906, is thought to have fallen about one million years ago and is dated to an amazing 4.5 billion years in age. This truly striking meteorite weighs a very robust 5.9 kilograms (13 pounds) and has unlimited decorative and collectible appeal. This is a simply gorgeous meteorite presentation specimen.
    Overall Measurements: 8.27 x 4.92 x 2.68 inches (21.00 x 12.50 x 6.80 cm), weighs 5.9 kilograms (13 pounds)
