This end cut of Muonionalusta Meteorite is truly the best of both worlds as the cut and etched primary face reveals an amazing and diagnostic Widmanstätten pattern with some dark linear veining adding a flow dimension to the large example weighing 12.2 pounds (5.5 kilograms). This cross-hatched pattern gives the specimen its lively appearance, and the exterior of the meteorite is naturally rustic featuring layers of Spanish moss looking, metallic crags. This big mass of the famed Swedish meteorite is robust and solid with serious visual appeal. The fine, octahedrite impacted Scandanvia a million years ago.
Overall Measurements: 7.87 x 5.31 x 3.15 inches (20.00 x 13.50 x 8.00 cm), weighs 5.5 kilograms (12.2 pounds)
