Representing a significant variety of meteorite from Australia, this gorgeous Henbury weighing 1,229 grams is simply exceptional. Out of the famous crater site featured on Geoff Notkin's Meteorite Men television series, this larger individual is covered in beautiful regmaglypts along with some very large craters. The crater field is now a protected site, where collecting is prohibited, and such examples of such size and regmaglypts are very rare and highly desirable, not to mention very difficult to acquire. Naturally sculptural and extremely aesthetic, this superb specimen features a mix of dark brown and classic reddish desert patina over all its surfaces. This piece stands vertically without the need for a base.
Measurements: 4.57 x 3.31 x 2.26 inches (11.60 x 8.40 x 5.73 cm), weighs 1,228.7 grams
