Henbury Meteorite End Cut
Northern Territory, Australia - (24° 34'S, 133° 10'E)
The "best of both worlds" in terms of a display specimen, this
Henbury Meteorite end cut offers the dual charms of a cut,
polished, and etched surface in contrast to a rugged, natural, and
colorful exterior. With an unbelievable Widmanstätten pattern, this
piece highlights the incredible, metallic composition of this Iron
from Australia. The 'cross-hatched' silver and gray toned face is
amazing. The natural reverse side is full of undulating texture,
with a shallow cratering. An orange patina adds color and drama to
this highly collectible specimen. The associated, small, impact
crater field with fragments is one of the world's best.
Overall Measurements: 4.33 x 3.82 x 1.31 inches (11.01 x 9.70 x
3.33 cm), weighs 945 grams
