    Complete Sikhote-Alin Meteorite
    Iron, Coarse Octahedrite - IIAB
    Maritime Territory, Siberia, Russia (46°09'36"N, 134° 39'12"E)
    Witnessed Fall: 12 February 1947 10:30 am local time
    2.93 x 1.42 x 0.72 inches (7.46 x 3.63 x 1.85 cm) (149 grams)

    This complete individual Sikhote-Alin specimen is a fabulous example of an iron octahedrite Meteorite. At nearly 150 grams, it is has two distinct sides covered in "thumbprint" regmaglypts. This is aesthetic, but most importantly is a complete specimen and not just a piece of "shrapnel" which is common with pieces of this size. The quintessential Russian Meteorite, any piece of Sikhote-Alin is always collectible.
