This massive specimen of the Campo Del Cielo Meteorite weighs about 14.5 lbs. (6.6 kg) and has a truly amazingly dynamic texture with wavy and squiggly folds seemingly going in every direction punctuated by some deep, circular pockmarks on the rust-stained metallic surface. The space rock has a reddish to brown hue over the mottled surface with hints of silver under direct light. The dense mass is ripe with character and an ideal example of the octahedrite from South America. This one has a clear front side, but even the reverse has significant texture with a "planetary surface" of noticeable indented "holes."
Overall Measurements: 7.68 x 5.51 x 3.35 inches (19.50 x 14.00 x 8.50 cm), weighs 6.62 kg (14.59 lbs.)
