An ideal combination of size, shape, and condition for a large meteorite, this specimen of Campo del Cielo from Argentina is simply outstanding. Covered in craters of varying sizes, this offering has an absolutely gorgeous orangey patina that provides a unique and visually striking contrast to the otherwise dark brownish, metallic mass. The highly dimensional representation, slender for such weight, can almost rest on its own without assistance in one impressive, dramatic orientation. At 15.9 kilograms (35 pounds), this is an extremely robust piece worthy of any collection, evidenced by collection number "9810" printed on the huge extraterrestrial rock. From the iconic fall, and of intense visual appeal, this colossal Iron of the IAB-MG classification is an ideal collection sample for a larger meteorite. A good, big, and solid "Campo" is a must-have for any significant collection.
