A Seven-Piece Meriden B. Company Silver-Plated Tea & Coffee Set Including Tray, Meriden, Connecticut, circa 1899Marks: MERIDEN B. COMPANY, (scale)
2-1/8 x 27-1/2 x 19-5/8 inches (5.4 x 69.8 x 49.8 cm) (largest, tray)
The set comprising:
1 tray, with monogram E;
1 hot water urn on stand;
1 teapot;
1 coffee pot;
1 creamer;
1 two-handled sugar bowl;
1 waste bowl.

Estimate: $700 - $900.
Condition Report*:
The tea set including tray with loss to silver plating to two areas on cartouche and bubbling to underside; hot water urn with dents to cover's conforming rim; minor loss to silver plating to base's rim. Coffee pot with a small dent to cover; does not impair its functionality. Teapot with small pushes to rim. Creamer with a small dent to rim. Waste bowl with small dents to rim, longest approximately 0-3/8 inch. The lot is accompanied by an extra small cover with lion finial; conforming rim is out of round. Overall wear consistent with age, use, and handling.
