A superb example of the work of Keith Townsend of Anna, Dumfrieshire, Scotland, one of the world's finest ship model artists. The decks lift to reveal a 3/8 inch stroke propane engine with copper boiler. 'Bat' was used in carrying out British radio control experiments in 1904 in Lake Windermere, England.
Presented in 1/8 scale in wood and glass case with brass handles.
