An iconic cult classic, the movie Legend, 1985 directed by Ridley Scott was not a box office success despite starring an extraordinarily young Tom Cruise and Mia Sara as well as an incredible fully costumed and made-up Tim Curry. The film won numerous awards for cinematography, costume design, makeup, and special effects. However, it was not until it's re-release that it received popular acclaim. Tim Curry as the Lord of Darkness is truly awe-inspiring - the classic demon with horn, tail, and strikingly red skin. Beautifully captured in this image by noted artist and illustrator Thomas Blackshear. Blackshear is known for his sensitivity of tone, dramatic lighting, and engaging compositions - all on display in this masterwork. The artist's ability to blend the Lord of Darkness into the sky is otherworldly with the smoke both floating and dripping from the master's hand adds a dreamy sense of hope. Truly an excellent example of 1980s pop culture that any child of the generation would be honored to display.

This work is accompanied by the original sculpture of plexi-glass lettering of "Legend" which as lit and transposed upon the image to create the final poster image.
