This poster was prominently featured in the award-winning 1994 PBS documentary, "The Man Who Drew Bug-Eyed Monsters."
Headlines screamed, "Co-ed beauty captive of man Monster." This low budget fifties horror movie tells the story of a college professor who discovers the remains of a prehistoric fish. When blood is accidentally spilled in the remains it turns into a mad Neanderthal killer. It was directed by Jack Arnold ("Creature from the Black Lagoon") and co-starred Joanna Moore.
The copy for this movie poster painting was created on an acetate overlay, and is not glued to the art board.
