Description
A Collection of Five Textured Bone and Wood CanesMarks to tallest: (lion passant), (leopard's head), K, (effaced maker's mark)
35-3/4 x 5 inches (90.8 x 12.7 cm) (tallest)
The collection comprising:
1 Wood cane with silver-mounted horn;
1 Wood stacked ring cane;
3 Bone canes.
5 Total
Condition Report*:
The collection with wear indicative or regular use throughout, including small losses, stable cracks, and surface wear throughout. Silver-mounted example is missing the ferrule. Stacked wood ring example with a small amount of play in the rings, with some missing just above the ferrule. Straight-handled bone cane with some play to vertebrae, with scattered splitting to divider rings; ferrule in stable condition with splits and a missing nail to mount it. Curved-handled bone example with a small gap between segments in handle, small areas of loss to ferrule, as well as the sixth rung from the bottom.
