    A Venetian Blackamoor Lamp

    Unknown maker, Venice, Italy
    Late nineteenth/early twentieth century
    Carved, gilded, silvered and painted wood, gilt and painted metal
    Unmarked
    88 inches high

    A carved blackamoor figure with silvered and painted uniform, on gilt rockwork base raised on pedestal; holding gilt cornucopia issuing forth scrolled gilt and painted metal seven light candelabrum; electrified.

    Condition Report*: Normal signs of wear as appropriate with age. Losses to paint. One candle sleeve missing.
