A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI-STYLE THIRTEEN-LIGHT GILT METAL CANDELABRA
France, circa 1880
38 inches high (96.5 cm)

Each with a baluster standard having a single candle cup to top and issuing two tiers of arms with candle cups, with the lower tier arms separated by a fleur-de-lis mount, the arms further hung with fruit clusters, the standard with sections of acanthus leaf, fruit and beaded decoration, the base having lion head mounts, swags and scrolling ribbon and acanthus leaves, set on claw feet and further raised on a shaped tripartite base.
