Well-regarded for his draftsmanship, Chilean Jaime González received his art education at the Escuela de Arquitectura of the Universidad Católica de Chile; he later taught painting and drawing at the University's Escuela de Arte. His illustrations for Vicente Huidobro's epic poem Altazor garnered him much acclaim. González participated in the 1st American Biennial at Córdoba in 1962 and in one-man shows in Río de Janeiro and Buenos Aires.
