    Argentine Hugo Sbernini couples Photo-Realism and Surrealism in his detailed, fractured portraits of men and women. A master draftsman, he has garnered numerous awards, among them, the 1973 Grand Prize for Painting, the Municipal Hall of Plastic Arts, Buenos Aires; the 1981 First Prize for Painting at the 70th National Chamber of Fine Arts, Buenos Aires; and the 1995 Grand Prize of Contemporary Art of Monte Carlo, Monaco. Sbernini's work is featured in collections worldwide, including the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas, Austin; the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Madrid; the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires; and the Rally Foundation Collection, Jerusalem.
