Blue Calcite Wall Sconces
    Andes Mountains
    South America

These incredible blue design element light fixtures are sure to grab attention. Light is a critical component of any room and must always be taken into consideration when decorating. These pieces have been fashioned out of exceptional blue Calcite mined from high up in the Andes Mountains of Argentina. A large portion of rough blue Calcite must have been mined to provide enough to create these two matched imposing wall lamps. Here fluctuating bands of blue hues are mesmerizing as they alternate between dark midnight blue, cerulean and powder blue with streaks of yellows and greens interspersed in-between. The brown inclusions are a mix of varying iron oxide-hydroxides, known as Limonite, sometimes referred to as "Brown Hematite." The Calcite has been cut and polished by expert artisans in such a way that the Limonite forms a somewhat "cross" design. Both lamp façades have an organic silhouette with rough edges and are mirrored, creating a nice aesthetic accent piece for any interior décor. They are meant to be affixed to walls and contain an internal structure to facilitate wall hanging. This pair offers an interesting way to integrate organic natural material into any space. They are in excellent condition and look spectacular in natural light and, of course, when lit up electric blue.
